programs

Aquatics for all

Swim, Splash & Survive is a partnership between Vanuatu Aquatics Federation and the Vanuatu Ministry of Youth and Sport through the Vanuatu National Sports Commission. The program teaches basic water safety and survival skills through its learn to swim courses, disability swimming, aqua aerobics and its gender inclusion program, ‘spiderball’, which is a non-contact version of beach water polo.

Celebrating #IDPWD2022

To celebrate International Day of People with Disability, we hear from staff and participants in some of the disability-focused programs supported by Team Up across the Pacific.

The Swim, Splash & Survive program aims to target two main problems through aquatic sports - inclusion and gender inequality. Vanuatu Aquatics Federation and the Vanuatu Ministry of Youth and Sport work together to build up inclusive environments in communities and villages to deliver the program.
